Doorina

Installation guide and fault reference

Product info

The Doorina board controls a DC brush motor in an electronic door operator. It receives commands from the control panel and manages opening and closing with two independent speed profiles, configured from three buttons and two on-board displays.

Commands can be handled digitally (always on) or over the proprietary serial CAN bus. Two board versions cover 24 V and 48/60 V door operators.

Connectors & wiring

  • Motor connector — if the first movement runs the wrong way, reverse the two wires.
  • Commands (activated by closing to Common): Common, Limit Close, Limit Open, Close, Open, Nudge.
  • Encoder input: +5 V, GND, A+, A-, B+, B- (line-driver) or +5 V, GND, A, B (push-pull).
  • CAN-Bus: CAN-L, DGND, CAN-H, VCC.
  • RS232 serial port (TX / RX / PGND).
  • Relay outputs FCA, FCC, CM, AUX — programmable normally-open or normally-closed.
  • Power supply 12/24 VDC.

Operating modes

Select the type of operation with parameters 33, 34 and 35:

  • Encoder (par. 33): quadrature (A & B phases) or single phase A.
  • Limits (par. 34): slowdown limits, or opening/closing end limits, normally open or closed.
  • Times (par. 35): time-based operation when no encoder or limits are available.

Encoder or Times can be combined with end limits, which then become the confirmation points for end-of-open and end-of-close.

Self-learning & speed profiles

The board needs a self-learning cycle to learn the open/closed positions and the maximum speed. Close the doors manually first, then start it from the on-board menu.

During self-learning the board opens and closes at the constant voltage of parameter 37, measures the encoder pulses (or the limit/time states) and sets the speed and ramp parameters automatically. On every power-up it synchronises with a slow closing. Two speed profiles (opening and closing) are then shaped with the numbered parameters.

Safety — obstruction & photocell

  • Obstruction contact: when the closing current exceeds the safety threshold (par. 27) for more than ¼ second, closing is interrupted. In master mode the doors reopen automatically; in slave mode the board waits for a command.
  • Virtual obstruction (times + limits, par. 66): if the close limit is not seen within the set time, an obstruction is assumed.
  • Photocell (encoder mode): shares the 'Limit Close' input; when triggered, closing is interrupted like an obstruction.

Buttons, display & relay outputs

The board has three buttons — ENTER, DOWN, UP — and two 7-segment displays (DS1, DS2). Pressing UP/DOWN shows two menus:

  • Pr — view/modify the adjustment parameters (1–66); ENTER saves, changes are immediate (except par. 33).
  • Co — commands: O.C. (manual open/close), AU (start self-learning), dE (load the default configuration).

Hold ENTER for at least 3 seconds to clear errors. The four relay outputs report door state: FCA open end-stop, FCC close end-stop, CM obstruction/reopening, AUX timed from the start of opening (e.g. gong, par. 53).
