The Escalator Status Totem is an advanced digital-signage solution that provides real-time monitoring and control of moving walkways. Designed in compliance with EN 115-1, it displays escalator and moving-walkway status while acting as a safety and efficiency component.
It includes a key-activated testing mechanism: the totem runs a comprehensive diagnostic across two full cycles, displaying a clear "Out of Order" sign during testing. After successful diagnostics the escalator is authorized to operate; on a malfunction the totem shows "Out of Order" and triggers a maintenance alert, and can direct occupants to the nearest operational walkway through customizable messages.
Applications span office buildings, shopping malls, airports and public-transport hubs, where reliable and safe moving-walkway operation is essential.
