Installation guide and fault reference

Controller installation

Mount the controller cabinet (or box) in the machine room or shaft position, level and fixed to the wall.

  • Route power and signal cables in separate wire ducts to avoid interference.
  • Connect the earth to the dedicated terminal — a proper ground is required for safety and EMC.
  • Keep the mains supply, motor/valve wiring and the low-voltage signal bus separated.

Programming keyboard & modes

The controller is set up from the on-board keyboard and display, with three working modes:

  1. Programming — view and change the configuration parameters through the tree menu.
  2. Maintenance — force movements and service functions during commissioning.
  3. Monitor — read live inputs, outputs, position and speed for diagnostics.

To change a value, enter the parameter, edit with the arrow keys and confirm with ENTER.

Wiring & connections

Land the controller's wiring in this order:

  • Flat cable to the car top.
  • Gatebox / concentrator board in the car.
  • COP (car operating panel) and LOP (landing) pushbutton boards over the serial bus.
  • Sensor cable for the shaft position sensors.
  • Maintenance keyboard connector on the car top for on-site service.

Follow the connection blocks / combinations table for the exact terminal assignment.

Shaft magnets & sensors

Position the slowdown magnets and stop sensors so the car decelerates and levels correctly.

  • Calculate the slowdown-magnet position from the rated speed and deceleration distance.
  • Different sensor/magnet arrangements apply to regular vs irregular inter-floor distances, and to speeds below or above 1 m/s.
  • Short storeys and inverted-slowdown cases have dedicated layouts.
  • Run the shaft Autolearning after the magnets are set.

First start-up & tests

Before putting the lift into service:

  1. Check the safety chain and the CS / EXC LEDs.
  2. Set the number of stops, door type and manoeuvre, then run the shaft Autolearning.
  3. Verify levelling at every floor and the door open/close timing.
  4. Perform the upper and lower override tests and the emergency-return (ARD) test.
  5. On a blocking fault, hold RESET for 5 seconds.

EN 81-20/50 compliance

The controller implements the EN 81-20:2020 / EN 81-50:2020 safety functions.

  • Fit the required safety components (car-access and pit-access contacts, monitoring contacts) and enable the function by parameter.
  • Run the prescribed tests and operation checks.
  • Errors generated by the security contacts (per clause 5.12.1.8/.9) are reported on the mainboard display — see the mainboard diagnostics for the fault codes.
