Overview & electrical data

The BR100 is the 32-bit mainboard of a Movilift manoeuvre controller. It runs calls, positioning, doors, the safety chain and drive control for hydraulic, geared and gearless lifts, up to 32 stops over the serial CAN bus.

  • Supply: 14–24 VDC/AC ±10%
  • Stabilized 12 VDC output for signalling
  • Integrated 12 V battery charger
  • Safety-chain inputs EXC / TOLT / CS at 24–110 VAC/DC
  • Stores the last 100 diagnostic events

Programming keypad & modes

The board is set up from the on-board keypad and display, with three working modes:

  1. Programming — view and edit the configuration parameters through the tree menu.
  2. Maintenance — force movements and service functions during commissioning.
  3. Monitor — read live inputs, outputs, position and speed for diagnostics.

Hold ENTER for 3 seconds to clear a fault. Parameters are also reachable over the RS232 PC tool.

First start-up & shaft magnets

Before the first run the board learns the shaft. Position the slowdown and stop magnets, set the number of stops (parameter A2) and run the shaft Autolearning.

  • Magnet layout differs for regular vs irregular inter-floor distances and for speeds below or above 1 m/s.
  • The RS (up) and RD (down) re-levelling sensors and the IF / ICV stop sensors must be positioned correctly, or the board reports a positioning fault.
  • Absolute positioning uses the BR-ENC board with a magnetic tape.

Doors

The BR100 drives automatic, semi-automatic and manual door operators, with independent open/close timing.

  • Opening and closing times are set by parameters; parking behaviour keeps the doors held.
  • Multiple accesses (single/double car entrance) are supported.
  • Options include the retractable cam, door pre-opening and the CPP / APG limit monitoring used for EN 81-20/50 door-closed checks.

Plant & manoeuvre types

The board supports hydraulic and rope installations and the full Movilift manoeuvre set: universal, down-collective, full collective, simplex, and dispatch groups up to duplex / triplex / quadruplex, plus firefighters, hospital, rescue and Shabbat modes.

The manoeuvre and plant type are selected by parameter; up to 3 car and landing groups can be networked over the serial CAN bus.

EN 81-20/50 compliance

The BR100 implements the EN 81-20:2020 / EN 81-50:2020 safety functions, enabled by parameter C12.

  • Reduced headroom / pit access detection (car-access and pit-access inputs) blocks movement and requires a keyed reset.
  • Unintended Car Movement and door-monitoring contacts (CPP door-closed monitoring) are supervised.
  • Absolute selector configuration with the BR-ENC board is described for compliant positioning.

Faults & diagnostics

Err 0-31Locks fault at floorWarning

Locks (catenacci) fault at the indicated floor after 4 attempts.

Remedy: Check the safety chain and the CS LED.

Err 32Locks fault during travelWarning

RCB retention time expired after a restart following a locks fault.

Remedy: Check the safety chain / CS LED and parameter D9.

Err 33Door safety-circuit bounce in travelWarning

Bounce of the door safety circuit detected during travel.

Remedy: Check the safety chain in motion; set parameter D28 (0 disables the check).

Err 36IF/ICV sensors not read in virtual zoneWarning

The IF and ICV sensors were not read in the virtual zone.

Remedy: Check the position of the stop magnets.

IF/ICV stop sensors overrun during the stop.

Remedy: Check the deceleration distances (low speed) and the high/low speed change-over.

Err 67Re-level error, bottom floorWarning

Re-levelling occurred 6 consecutive times; the car re-levels at the bottom floor.

Remedy: Check leveling and the safety-module magnets (SEM/IF/ICV).

Err 68Re-level error, intermediate floorsWarning

Re-levelling occurred 6 consecutive times; the car re-levels at the bottom floor.

Remedy: Check leveling and the safety-module magnets (SEM/IF/ICV).

Err 69Re-level error (time expired)Warning

The board re-levelled but the car did not reach the floor. After this error the board re-levels at the bottom floor.

Remedy: Check the re-level time at parameter D15 and the safety module (SEM/IF/ICV magnet positions).

Err 70Re-level sensors invertedWarning

RS and RD re-level sensors are inverted.

Remedy: Check the position and operation of the RS and RD sensors.

Both re-level sensors are open.

Remedy: Check the position and operation of the RS and RD sensors.

Err 72Re-level failed (blocking)Critical

After 4 consecutive re-level attempts at the bottom floor the car does not reach the floor.

Remedy: Check re-level time D15, magnets and drive; then reset.

Err 73Shaft access detectedCritical

Shaft access occurred (reduced headroom/pit option active).

Remedy: Hold RESET for 5 seconds to reset.

Err 74Pit access detectedWarning

IN7 on the CHM_MAN board is not active, with the EN 81-20 function enabled (parameter C12).

Remedy: Reset with the rescue key of the bottom floor.

Err 75Oil over-temperature (60°)Warning

The 60° oil input is active.

Remedy: Check the probe or parameter F1.

Err 76Motor thermistor trippedWarning

The motor thermistor input (TMS) tripped.

Remedy: Check the thermistor or parameter F5.

Err 77Failed start on collective manoeuvresWarning

Due to overload or safety, the car cannot restart within a minute.

Remedy: Check load, safety chain and the drive.

Err 78No start from floor zone, upWarning

No start from the stop zone in the up direction.

Remedy: Check motor contactors, inverter inputs and valve supply.

Err 79No start from floor zone, downWarning

No start from the stop zone in the down direction.

Remedy: Check motor contactors, inverter inputs and valve supply.

TSD input active during up travel.

Remedy: Check the opening limit and operator.

Err 85Closing time expired (CPP not active)Warning

On limit operators, during closing the CPP is not active and the C3 time expires.

Remedy: Increase parameter C3; check operator supply — closing time may be too short.

Err 86CS not active at end of closingWarning

During closing the CPP is active but CS does not activate at end of door closing.

Remedy: The operator end-of-close contact does not close — check the CS operator contact (safety chain).

Err 87Safety chain closed during openingWarning

During door opening the APG is not active and CS stays active — safety chain remained closed.

Remedy: Check the locks/latch contact or the operator supply.

Err 88Opening time too short (APG not active)Warning

On limit operators, during opening the APG is not active and the C2 time expires.

Remedy: Increase parameter C2; check operator supply — opening time may be too short.

Err 89EEPROM write errorWarning

Data storage error — a parameter is inconsistent.

Remedy: Re-save the parameters; if it persists, return the board.

Err 90CAN error, CHM0 call moduleWarning

Communication error with call module CHM0.

Remedy: 1st call board damaged, CAN wires reversed or wrong DIP-switch setting on CHM.

Err 91CAN error, CHM1 call moduleWarning

Communication error with call module CHM1.

Remedy: 2nd call board damaged, CAN wires reversed or wrong DIP-switch setting on CHM.

Err 92CAN error, CHM2 call moduleWarning

Loss of communication with the CHM MAN board.

Remedy: Check the connection with the mainboard.

Err 103Levelling error, AR inputCritical

Levelling error: the AR input is not active during the levelling phase. Only active when parameter H9 = 1.

Cause: The AR input must be active during open-door levelling.

Remedy: Check that the safety module is working.

Err 104A3 test procedure not performedWarning

Error: the A3 test procedure was not performed.

Cause: The procedure was missed during the 24h A3 test for hydraulic lifts, because the CS contact was not made.

Remedy: Check the CS contact and run the A3 test procedure.

Err 105A3 uncontrolled movement, BR1 brake switchCritical

A3 uncontrolled movement error. Brake-switch monitoring error on a roped installation.

Cause: Two possible cases: the BR1 input (brake micro-switch) is active during travel, or the BR1 input is not active with the lift at rest.

Remedy: Check that the brake switches are working.

Err 106A3 uncontrolled movement, BR2 brake switchCritical

A3 uncontrolled movement error. Brake-switch monitoring error on a roped installation.

Cause: Two possible cases: the BR2 input (brake micro-switch) is active during travel, or the BR2 input is not active with the lift at rest.

Remedy: Check that the brake switches are working.

Cause: The BR1 and BR2 inputs must not be active while the car is travelling.

Remedy: Check that the brake switches and the brake micro-switches are working.

Cause: The BR1 and BR2 inputs are not active with the lift at rest.

Remedy: Check that the brake switches are working.

Err 109A3 uncontrolled movement, valve V1Critical

A3 uncontrolled movement error on a hydraulic installation.

Cause: Valve 1 error: levelling took place while valve V1 was energised.

Remedy: Check valve V1 and its control.

Err 110A3 uncontrolled movement, valve V2Critical

A3 uncontrolled movement error on a hydraulic installation.

Cause: Valve 2 error: levelling took place while valve V2 was energised.

Remedy: Check valve V2 and its control.

Err 111Autolearning failedWarning

Encoder selector error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The autolearning procedure failed: the encoder reading was inconsistent between the up and down runs of autolearning.

Remedy: Run the autolearning procedure again, checking the encoder reading.

Err 112Position overrun on the up run, ZP sensor not foundWarning

Encoder selector error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The car reaches the destination floor on the up run and passes the position learned during autolearning without ever finding the ZP sensor zone.

Remedy: Check the ZP sensor and repeat the shaft learning.

Err 113Position overrun on the down run, ZP sensor not foundWarning

Encoder selector error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The car reaches the destination floor on the down run and passes the position learned during autolearning without ever finding the ZP sensor zone.

Remedy: Check the ZP sensor and repeat the shaft learning.

Err 114Excessive speed at the resetting switchesWarning

Speed error at the resetting switches (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The car speed on entering the resetting switches is higher than the value set in parameter N17.

Remedy: Check the car speed and the value of parameter N17.

Err 115Synchronisation failedWarning

Encoder selector error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: Synchronisation did not take place.

Remedy: Run the installation synchronisation.

Err 116Pulse count below the learned positionWarning

Encoder selector error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: During travel the board meets a stopping sensor (ZP) and checks the pulses against the learned positions, within a margin of error. If they are below the expected value the board drops to low speed and stops at the first available floor.

Remedy: Check the encoder, the ZP sensors and the positions learned during shaft learning.

Err 117ZP sensor not readWarning

Encoder selector error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The ZP sensor was not read at the position the BR-ENC board learned during shaft learning.

Remedy: Check the ZP sensor and repeat the shaft learning.

Err 118Pulse count above the learned positionWarning

Encoder selector error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: During travel the board meets a stopping sensor (ZP) and checks the pulses against the learned positions, within a margin of error. If they exceed the expected value and the tolerance set in N10, the board drops to low speed and stops at the first available floor.

Remedy: Check the encoder, the ZP sensors and the value of parameter N10.

Err 120Encoder stationary at startWarning

Stationary encoder error, generated during the starting phase (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The BR-ENC board does not receive the actual-speed feedback from the inverter (IN0 input), or receives no pulses from the encoder.

Remedy: Check the encoder wiring and the inverter speed feedback on the IN0 input.

Err 121Encoder direction reversed on the up runWarning

Up travel direction error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The board starts an up run but the encoder reads the opposite direction.

Remedy: Reverse the encoder direction.

Err 122Encoder direction reversed on the down runWarning

Down encoder direction error (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The board starts a down run but the encoder reads the opposite direction.

Remedy: Reverse the encoder direction.

Err 123Photocell triggered 50 times in a rowWarning

The photocell tripped 50 consecutive times during door closing.

Remedy: Check the doors for obstructions.

Err 124Landing door safety contact, RES inputCritical

Landing door safety contact: the RES input does not deactivate with the doors open.

Remedy: Check that the safety contacts on the landing doors work correctly.

Err 125No incremental pulse countWarning

Incremental pulse count missing, generated during the starting phase. Only active when parameter N13 = 1 (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The BR-ENC board receives the actual-speed feedback from the inverter (IN0 input) but no pulses from the encoder after the stopping zone (ZP sensor not active).

Remedy: Check the encoder and the ZP sensor.

Err 126Car does not moveWarning

The car did not move, generated during the starting phase. Only active when parameter N13 = 1 (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The BR-ENC board receives the actual-speed feedback from the inverter (IN0 input) but no pulses from the encoder.

Remedy: Check the encoder and whether the car is actually moving.

Err 127Uneven car movementWarning

The car movement is not uniform. Only active when parameter N13 = 1 (absolute encoder errors).

Cause: The BR-ENC board does not receive the actual-speed feedback from the inverter (IN0 input), receives no pulses from the encoder, or the car has passed the stopping zone (ZP sensor).

Remedy: Check the encoder, the speed feedback on the IN0 input and the ZP sensor.

Err 128Aladino module communication errorWarning

Communication error with the Aladino module.

Cause: The Aladino serial board is damaged, or the CAN wiring is reversed.

Remedy: Check the CAN wiring and the Aladino board.

Err 130BR100 watchdog errorWarning

Watchdog error on the BR100 board.

Cause: The BR100 board locked up internally and was restarted.

Err 131COP watchdog errorWarning

Watchdog error on the COP board.

Cause: The COP board locked up internally and was restarted.

Err 132CAN-BUS data slowdownWarning

CAN-BUS data slowdown error.

Cause: A BUS-OFF event was detected on the CAN-BUS network: the data on the bus may be slowing down.

Remedy: Check: 60 ohm line impedance; remove ground loops; measure the voltage on the CAN-BUS H and L signals against GND and confirm it is between 2 V and 2.6 V; check that the TVS (transzorb) devices are not short-circuited; make sure the twisted cable shield is earthed at one end only; check that the motor earth is connected correctly; check every earth in the installation.

Err 133Access to an unserved floorCritical

Error on an attempt to access a floor that is not served. Only enabled with parameter C13.

Remedy: Check the denied access set in parameter C13.

Err 134AR input not active during levellingWarning

The AR input is not active during open-door levelling.

Remedy: Check that the safety module in the controller works during levelling.

Err 135Photocell trip countWarning

Number of photocell trips.

Remedy: Check that the photocell works correctly and has not been bypassed.

Err 136Parameter mismatchWarning

The parameters set are inconsistent with each other. A subcode identifies the offending parameter: 1 = B1 inconsistent with the roped configuration; 2 = D3 > 30 inconsistent with the roped configuration; 3 = G5 inconsistent with the roped configuration; 4 = G5 inconsistent with the hydraulic configuration; 5 = B2 and D3 inconsistent with the hydraulic configuration.

Remedy: Correct the parameter indicated by the subcode.

Err 137Landing door safety contact, RES inputWarning

Landing door safety contact monitoring error after 4 attempts: the RES input does not activate once the doors have closed.

Remedy: Check the safety chain and that the RES LED lights up.

Err 138Car door safety contact test (CS input)Critical

Car door safety contact test, monitored through the CS input. Blocking fault after two consecutive failed checks at the same floor. Only active on installations to EN 81-20/50.

Remedy: Check that the car door safety contact works and has not been bypassed or tampered with.

Err 139Door safety contact test (RES input)Critical

Car door safety contact test, monitored through the RES input. Blocking fault after two consecutive failed checks at the same floor. Only active on installations to EN 81-20/50.

Remedy: Check that the landing door safety contact works and has not been bypassed or tampered with.

Err 140Modem errorWarning

Modem error.

Cause: The board does not detect the modem.

Remedy: Check that the modem is fitted and wired.

Err 150Master–Slave communication errorWarning

Communication error between the Master board and a Slave board.

Cause: The Master board detects no communication with Slave board no. X.

Remedy: Check the wiring and the addressing of the Slave board indicated.

Err 151Master communication errorWarning

Communication error with the Master board.

Cause: The Slave board detects no communication with the Master board.

Remedy: Check the wiring to the Master board.

Err 152Multiplexer error (Slave only)Warning

Multiplexer error, on Slave boards only.

Cause: The Master does not acknowledge the call cancellation performed by the Slave.

Remedy: Check the communication between Master and Slave.

Err 160CANopen communication errorWarning

CANopen communication error. It is raised when the second CAN port (CAN2) is used in CANopen mode. The subcode identifies the problem on the bus: 1 Heart Beat; 2 Expired window sync; 3 Expired window sync PDO; 4 SDO download Abort; 5 SDO download Abort Index; 6 SDO download Abort Retry; 7 SDO download Index invalid; 8 SDO download Command Invalid; 9 SDO download Time Out; 10 SDO upload Abort; 11 SDO upload Abort Index; 12 SDO upload Abort Retry; 13 SDO upload Index invalid; 14 SDO upload Command Invalid; 15 SDO upload Time Out.

Remedy: Check the CAN2 bus and the connected CANopen device, using the subcode to locate the problem.

Err 200-231Landing lock interruptionWarning

Landing lock interruption error, raised during the first 4 attempts. The code identifies the floor: for example error 201 at floor 1.

Cause: Raised during the first three attempts to close the CS locks, while parked or on starting.

Remedy: Check the door safety contacts and the locks.

Err 240-250Safety module error during levellingWarning

Safety module error. Only active when parameter H9 = 1. The code varies with the floor where the event occurred (up to 10 floors).

Cause: During levelling, if the safety module is not in order the board does not realign to the floor but goes to reset instead, raising the error. The AR input must be active during open-door levelling.

Remedy: Check that the safety module is working.

Err 255No errorInfo

Null code: it means there is no error.
