Product info
The KILO System is a lift weighing device built around latest-generation load cells. Its main job is load limitation: it measures the weight on the cell and trips a relay when the load exceeds a programmed threshold. Maximum cabin capacity is 800 kg.
A CAN-bus port lets it show the live weight directly on Movilift serial displays. It comes in three versions — CARGO (sensors under the car), ROPES (sensors on the ropes) and CELL (sensor on the car sling).
Connectors
The KILO control unit provides:
- 4 USB ports to connect the load-cell sensors
- Hold signal input (24/100 VDC)
- Analog output 10 V
- Power supply 12/24 VDC and negative/ground
- Relay and buzzer outputs
- CAN-bus port (1 CAN-L, 2 GND, 3 CAN-H, 4 +12/24 V)
- 4-digit display with UP / DOWN / OK keys
Programming
The UP, DOWN and OK keys set the parameters. Press UP/DOWN to cycle the menu, OK to select and edit a value.
- P_CC — full-load threshold (kg) → activates the CMP relay
- P_SC — overload threshold (kg) → activates the OVL relay
- P_AU — settable threshold (kg) → activates the AUX relay
- ZErO — zero adjustment with the empty cabin
- PESO — sensitivity adjustment with a known weight
- CONF — relay polarity (+1 CMP N.C., +2 OVL N.C., +4 AUX N.C.) and +8 to enable the CAN-bus port
Calibration
Calibration is done in two steps from the on-board keys.
### 1. Zero 1. Position the empty car halfway up the shaft. 2. Select ZErO and press OK. 3. The display blinks and counts down, then shows PESO.
### 2. Sensitivity (known weight) 1. Place a known weight in the car — at least 50% of capacity — car still mid-shaft. 2. Select PESO, enter the known weight with UP/DOWN and press OK (SAVE).
The display then shows CONF for the relay/CAN configuration.
Relay outputs & thresholds
Three relays and a buzzer signal the load state; all relays can be set normally-open or normally-closed.
- CMP relay — activated when the full-load threshold (P_CC) is exceeded.
- OVL relay — activated when the overload threshold (P_SC) is exceeded.
- AUX relay — activated when the custom threshold (P_AU) is exceeded.
- Buzzer — transistor output, activated on overload (interface an external relay).
Versions & sensor mounting
Choose the version by where the sensors are fitted:
- CARGO — sensors under the lift car, stud-anchored to the structure.
- ROPES — sensors on the ropes; pick the stud size that matches the 6–12 mm rope diameter, fitted on the cabin side.
- CELL — sensor on the car sling / arch, by traction or by deformation.
Sensor cable length is 3.5 m.
Faults & diagnostics
Err1No sensors detectedWarning
The KILO System does not detect any connected sensors.
Remedy: Check the sensor cables on the USB ports.
Err2No calibration performedWarning
The device has not been calibrated.
Remedy: Run the Zero and PESO calibration.
