Inputs & outputs wiring
Connect the ELGO Limax sensor in CANopen to the BR400 on port CAN4, closing the serial impedance with the supplied CANbus terminator.
The BR400 outputs depend on parameter N15:
- N15 = 0 – inverter speed references are returned on outputs O0–O13 programmed as RIF VEL0, RIF VEL1, RIF VEL2
- N15 = 1 – speed references are returned on the TB, TG, PAT outputs of the motherboard
RIF VEL0/1/2 and PAT are negative outputs; TB and TG are clean outputs with common C(TS-TD).
Inverter programming & speeds
The inverter's 3 multi-step speed inputs work in binary, giving up to 7 different speeds (verify the inverter settings and manual). Each speed has its own deceleration distance, set in the motherboard parameter N5 (D2–D7).
- The board chooses a deceleration distance according to the travel distance
- Example: at V7 (top speed) parameter D7 adjusts where deceleration begins
- Note: the deceleration distance is not the inverter's deceleration time
Shaft acquisition & direct-to-floor
After wiring, run the shaft acquisition so the system learns the magnetic-tape positions. Because Limax alone cannot manage a direct arrival, keep at least 20 cm of low-speed travel before the floor. Paired with compatible inverters the system can perform direct-to-floor arrival, and with safety devices it enables door pre-opening.
